Weddings

Congratulations on your engagement!

We want to help make your wedding ceremony a memorable celebration. Our church sanctuary is a beautiful setting for a wedding, and we invite you to consider our space for your upcoming wedding.  Please contact the church for our wedding policies and building use fees.  Our policies have been carefully designed to ensure that your wedding is a sacred and memorable occasion.

Scheduling a Wedding Date:   Gateway Presbyterian Church has one of the most beautiful views of Pike’s Peak in Colorado Springs for a wedding ceremony. We suggest that as soon as you know when you would like your ceremony to take place, you start by checking the availability of your preferred date(s) with our Office Manager (office@gatewaypres.org, or 719-473-3430). We encourage you to make an appointment for a tour of the church and sanctuary.

The Minister:   All couples marrying at Gateway Presbyterian Church are requested to meet with the pastor.  The pastor also meets with any outside officiant to uphold the church’s commitment to hosting Christian wedding services.

The Wedding Coordinator: Use of one of Gateway’s wedding coordinators is required for all weddings.  The services of our wedding coordinator are for the rehearsal and ceremony only. When an independent wedding coordinator is hired by the couple, that professional is welcome to attend the rehearsal as a guest. At the ceremony, the independent coordinator is welcome as a personal assistant for the couple.  Gateway’s wedding coordinator will be in communication with the officiating minister and is responsible for helping to ensure that Gateway’s guidelines for decorations, photography, videography, and parking are followed.

Music: Music for your wedding service should be reviewed with the officiating minister and the Gateway Presbyterian Church Director of Music.  Music for the marriage service directs attention to God and expresses the faith of the church but may be selected from different styles.
