- Prayer is a “Christian Discipline” like fasting and meditation that brings Almighty God into the daily life of the believer (Acts 13:3).

- Retreat by Yourself (Matthew 14:23)
- In Secret (Matthew 6:8)
- Coupled with Laying on of Hands (Matthew 19:13)
What to Pray For
- “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven”
- “For God’s glory on earth”
- For one another (II Thessalonians 1:11, Matthew 9:38)
- For healing (James 5:13)
- For needs

A = Adoration
C = Confession
T = Thanksgiving
S = Supplication - “When we don’t know how” (Romans 8:26)

A Way NOT to Pray
- Praying in public to be noticed (Matthew 6:5)
